Fun Finds From Labor Day Weekend

I started this post on Sunday, I think, so here's the updated version...

I've had such a full, fun weekend with the in-laws already, and it's still going!  Here are some fun things we grabbed on our girls' day shopping extravaganza:

Rich, Adam and J installed our microwave!  Rich and J did an amazing job on those cabinets above it, too.  The cabinet used to be at least 10 inches longer.  They shortened the cabinet to give us more stove-top room, installed the microwave, then cut the doors to fit the new length.  It looks really professional.  :)

We found the perfect piece of art for the living room!!  The painting connects all the colors in our color scheme, which used to be gray, but we just found so much more that coordinated with browns.  Isn't it beautiful?

The garbage disposal just wasn't working, so Rich and Adam hooked up a new one.  Thank goodness!  I'm not staring at a sink full of nasty, undrained waste.

That fun beige stripey couch?  Guess how much it was?  Anyone?  It was $4.98.  Crazy, huh?  It still has really good springs and foam, so Lavita said it should hold up for several more years once it is reupholstered.

We got some fabric to match our picture and color scheme.  On Monday, Lavita and I painted the whole front room.  It looks soooo much better!  I haven't had a chance to take a picture of it in good lighting yet.

We're excited to see the family again this weekend for the Sharing Down Syndrome Walk around ASU!  It's going to be a HOT adventure!!
